Shahrukh Khan spotted with lucky charms a Coral ring and string of beads

Shahrukh ‘Badshah’ Khan who is busy now-a-days with his IPL team KKR and his upcoming movie Ra.One was recently spotted wearing a coral ring along with a gold band on his right hand ring finger and a strings of beads. SRK is the co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and speculations are there that all these rings and beads are part of his superstition for the success of KKR, which seems to work for him as the team is performing extremely well as compared to last IPL season.

This is not the first time that SRK has been wearing all this before he was wearing an emerald ring in his right hand as wife Gauri asked him to do so after consulting to the astrologer. Khan is said to bring these beads from dargah in Ajmer to keep evil away, where he recently visited to offer prayers on death anniversary of his mother.

Though the source near to SRK said that Badshah Khan has never been into superstitions and does not believes in all this. Things which he is wearing had been gifted to him and just to keep his well-wishers happy he wears them.

Shahrukh who was expected to have 8 pack abs after getting influenced by the superman avatar in Ra.one has lost some kilos instead of building body. Well hope Shahrukh fulfills his desire of 8 packs soon and all this rumored superstition works in SRK’s favor.

Hrithik, SRK inspire Madhavan

Actor R Madhavan is having the best time of his career.

The actor wants to play a superhero which he hasn't done in any of his films.

IPL preview: Kolkata Knight Riders vs Kings XI Punjab

After suffering two consecutive losses, the Knight Riders came back strongly to beat Delhi Daredevils by 19 runs on Thursday night.

Be it in fielding or bowling, the Knight Riders showed intensity, something that was needed after Manoj Tiwary salvaged the batting with a fluent yet combative innings.

Often criticised for not being able to provide the finishing touches in the Knight Riders close losses, the stylish Tiwary remained unbeaten in his 61 from 47 balls with three powerful sixes.

On a day the established Jacques Kallis, Gautam Gambhir, Yusuf Pathan and Eoin Morgan aggregated just 34, it proved to be a match-winning knock for the Team India fringe batsman.

Yet, the total did not look match-winning, had it not been for the die-hard efforts by the bowlers and the fielders.

Brett Lee led the attack with amazing accuracy. An inspirational penultimate over by Lee in fact nailed the last chances of the Daredevils.

With 26 needed from last two overs and two batsmen looking to go for the kill, it could have been anybody's game in the Twenty20 scheme of things.

But Lee conceded two runs and effected two run-outs, one of them in true slam dunk fashion for the final rites of the Delhi outfit.

Kallis failed with the bat but the 35-year-old dished out a some fighting saves on the boundary to lift the morale of the side.

The win meant that the Knight Riders are at number two -- ahead of Chennai Super Kings -- at the midway stage of the Twenty20 tournament and as Gambhir pointed out, it was morale-boosting.

It remains to be seen whether Gambhir leads the pack, often in news for all the wrong reasons, to the pinnacle.

As Knight Riders launch their mission to the next stage after completing half of their league phase, it is all about maintaining the momentum from hereafter.

With three more home matches lined up -- Kings XI Punjab, Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians -- it is crucial for the Knight Riders not to lose the grip of it.

At the slow Eden Gardens strip on Saturday, Gambhir will certainly give a thought about bringing in Bangladeshi skipper and left arm spinner Shakib-al-Hasan in the four-foreigner line-up.

That English southpaw Eoin Morgan is yet to hit purple patch may give Gambhir an option.

In Shakib and Iqbal Abdulla, who is doing well at the moment with a 3/25 on Thursday, the Knight Riders should not worry about their bowling.

All-rounder material Laxmi Ratan Shukla cooling the benches may sound surprising and the former Bengal skipper may be considered as an option.

They may be lying low on seventh but the Kings are not in a much disadvantageous position considering that they have played only five compared to seven by the Knight Riders.

It's a situation much like that of Kolkata a couple of matches ago.

After three superb wins under their belt, Delhi outgunned Punjab in a run-fest in their previous match.

In second leading run-getter Paul Valthaty, who shot into limelight with 120 not out against Chennai, Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh, Kings XI have a threatening top-order.

With David Hussey, Dinesh Karthik to follow, Kings XI have a formidable batting line-up and they will hope that the bowlers led by Praveen Kumar and World Cup winning leg-spinner Piyush Chawla do their job meticulously.

A win will take them to the play-off zone -- the top-four of the table.

Off the field, it will also be a battle between the hit Bollywood screen couple -- Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta -- the team bosses of Knight Riders and Kings XI respectively.

In the points table, the Knight Riders have eight points, while Kings have si

Shah Rukh Khan is not superstitious

All through the IPL, Shah Rukh Khan has been sporting rings and a string of beads that have fuelled speculation that he's wearing them for good health and for luck for his IPL team.

However, during SRK's Thursday visit to Delhi, for the match between his Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils, TOI learnt that there is no superstitious streak in King Khan.

A source close to the actor insists, "He has never been a believer of these things. The problem occurs when he is gifted such things by friends and relatives. Phir woh pehen leta hai, so that they are not offended or hurt. Shah Rukh doesn't like to hurt anybody's sentiments, especially when they are wishing him well and are praying for him. And no, his wife Gauri has not gifted him that emerald ring, as reported."

When in Delhi to cheer his victorious team, Shah Rukh, says the source, was confident from the beginning that they were going to win. "He was sounding very happy and stress-free this time. There's no tension in his mind right now. He even partied till 4am that day, and planned to leave Delhi only after that. He was in a mood to party with the players, which is why this time, he didn't stay at his uncle's house in Delhi."

SRK's health has been a concern for his family for quite some time now, hasn't it? "He had lost a hell lot of weight because of his "Ra.One" suit, and had gone quite weak. But now, he has gained a bit of weight, and is back to his regular gym sessions, to gain some muscle. But as he has always preferred the lean look, he doesn't plan to become very heavy," the source added. Ringing in some health, eh?

SRK keeps a safe distance

SRK keeps a safe distance

Wonder what's stopping Shah Rukh Khan from promoting a 76-minute film under his banner. Call it the pressure of wrapping up his most ambitious project ever (Ra. One), getting plans in place for his home production (Always Kabhi Kabhi) or sheer aversion to the latest production from his company, Shah Rukh seems to have distanced himself from Men Will Be Men.

King Khan, who is known for his marketing strategies and having a sharp business acumen, has shockingly stayed away from any promotions for this film. Men Will Be Men is a 76-minute film under SRK's banner which is due for release this Friday. Considering all the hype he generates around his films, it is quite surprising to see him not talk about it. "It is seeing a totally silent release and no one has any clue what the film is all about. Why Shah Rukh is keeping a distance from his own film is indeed quite puzzling. For someone who started the trend of going all out for his films since the days of Don — The Chase Begins Again, an apparent lack of interest in Men Will Be Men is baffling," says an industry source.

The film is not even presented as a Red Chillies film. The banner mentioned on the forefront is an Idiot Box film, which is another arm of Red Chillies. "No one knows what really prompted Shah Rukh to stay away from the film, but one reason could be that he may have wanted to stay away from such surrogate advertising," says a trade source adding, "For all you know, this could just be a short film made for TV and the makers are experimenting to test waters with a big screen release."

Whatever be the reason, the fact remains that Men Will Be Men won't quite have expected such a release for itself especially, after Shah Rukh's name being attached with the project. Even the credit rolls mention Samar Khan as the executive producer, which makes Shah Rukh's distance very clear. Well, men will be men after all.

Shah Rukh Khan’s 12 Hour Marathon

He's a workaholic who can work round the clock to get his job done. So it comes as no surprise to hear that Shah Rukh Khan shot for 12 hours for a shaving cream advertisement.

And not just act in the commercial, SRK had to shave almost seven times and wrap up a photoshoot for the ad! But it had its perks as the King Khan also had to spar with three gorgeous Ninja girls in his RA.One style! Similar to his upcoming superhero film, the ad has a lot of visual effects which have been used to create five Shah Rukh Khans in one frame.

Shah Rukh is known to work hard on all his films, including the shooting of 'RA.One' last year during which he not only worked on the film but also attended IPL matches, partied hard and conducted business meetings abroad. It's not unusual for the star to go on for days with just a few hours of precious sleep.

Shahrukh loyalist Karan Johar woos Salman Khan?

Nothing succeeds like success. Salman Khan has been witnessing this adage come alive after the super-success of Dabangg. He’s been on the wishlist of many a producer, but now he is getting feelers from the most unexpected quarters.

Karan Johar, a staunch Shahrukh Khan loyalist, is now learnt to be wooing Salman for his next production to be directed by Rensil D’Silva, he of the super-dud Kurbaan. Rensil is reported to have penned an action-thriller on the lines of ‘Oceans Eleven’ this time and he’s of the view that Salman Khan suits the role of the leading man best. Karan is on the same page.

So, the buzz is that K-Jo is sending feelers to the handsome Khan. He was recently in talks with Salman for an appearance on his show Koffee With Karan, but the talks fell through after Salman reportedly demanded a contribution for his charity Being Human in return for his appearance on the show.

Now, will Salman take the bait and give his nod to a film being made under Dharma Productions, whose poster-boy for many years has been Shahrukh Khan?

We won’t dare to answer that because predicting Salman’s actions is like predicting weather. Or even worse!

The director recounts: "We were shooting at Yashraj and my laptop was kept in my room. I told my boy to get it for me.

He returned to say it wasn't in my room. I told him that I handed it over to him to keep in the room, so where was it?"

He adds, "I got so worked up that I shouted at the poor guy. He went to check agains. It wasn't there. I freaked. Losing the laptop meant losing important data from the film, the music, scenes and so forth. So the entire crew started looking for my laptop.

Even Shah Rukh kept inquiring if I found it or not. We all were worried about the movie data being stolen."

"I tried to recollect the events that had happened before and realised I had told my of my assistant directors to keep my laptop in my room since my boy was busy.

And the AD by mistake kept it in his room!" He adds. "I was so relieved to find it but the trauma I went through in that half an hour was inexplicable."

IPL4: Matrix partners with KKR, earmarks Rs 20 cr as ad spends

SRK (Shah Rukh Khan) and KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) are worldly wise and use Matrix when abroad. Do you?’ - the advertising message is sure to surprise viewers for at least a few seconds, after all, it is Airtel’s brand ambassador Shah Rukh Khan who would be speaking for international telecom brand Matrix. A few seconds into the ad though, and people will realise that it is not just King Khan, but KKR that is endorsing the brand, and the communication is in context to Matrix’s ForEx card, a new property from the company that is otherwise popular for its SIM cards during international travels.

Matrix has come on board KKR as Principal Sponsor and the brand is ensuring that it leverages the association to the fullest.

Speaking to exchange4media, Karan Sharma, Head – Marketing, Matrix, divulged, “A majority of our annual spends would be utilised for the campaign around this association with KKR. I cannot give you precise numbers, but at present, our annual advertising spends, only for media buying that is, is around Rs 30-35 crore. Of this, we would be spending around Rs 18-20 crore in this campaign. The campaign has begun in print now, and it is going to up its share of voice on television as well.”

Equus Red Cell is the advertising agency, and Kabir Sadanand’s Frog Productions is the production house for this campaign, which kicked off primarily through television and would manifest itself through other media.

Swapan Seth, Founder and CEO, Equus Red Cell, pointed out that apart from a raft of advantages that came to Matrix as Principal Sponsor, the company also had jersey branding rights of the team. He added, “We are in the process of putting PAL (pooling, aligning and linking) PLANS into place. We see great cross-promos. Most significantly, we see it is a great opportunity to launch our ForEx card in addition to the SIM card.”

What is Matrix hoping from this association? Sharma replied, “So far, Matrix has been niche in the manner it has advertised, but associating with a platform as large as this would take us to a broader level of connecting with consumers. We wanted to associate with a brand as big as KKR, because in terms of brand equity, awareness and visibility, KKR is perhaps the biggest franchise, with the largest following of viewers and cricket fans.”

A coup of sorts, however, is getting Shah Rukh Khan as part of the association to endorse Matrix. Elaborating on Khan’s role in this exercise, Seth observed, “I have spent my entire career cocking a snoot at brands that use celebrities as lamp posts. But in SRK I found a great opportunity to present him like he hasn't ever been in a pure play advertisement. He has a negative role that he executes with pure panache and candid chutzpah.”

Shah Rukh Khan’s 12 Hour Marathon

He’s a workaholic who can work round the clock to get his job done.

Shah Rukh is known to work hard on all his films, including the shooting of ‘RA.One’ last year during which he not only worked on the film but also attended IPL matches, partied hard and conducted business meetings abroad. It’s not unusual for the star to go on for days with just a few hours of precious sleep.

Shahrukh to stand by Karim Morani?

Father of the ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’ actress Zoa Morani and Shahrukh Khan’s close pal, Karim Morani has been recently charged for involvement in 2G scam.

Following this news, rumor mills are doing the rounds that Karim Morani’s association with King Khan, who is going to launch his daughter Zoa with AKK, will remain unaffected and the Baadshah of Bollywood will certainly stand by his friend during this tough time.

However, neither Shahrukh Khan nor Karim Morani was available to field questions with this respect.

About SRK’s friend Karim Morani?
Karim Morani is the executive producer of the Shahrukh Khan-starrer superhero flick ‘Ra.One’.

Morani is not new to the industry, as he has produced films such as ‘Arjun’, ‘Damini’, ‘Raja Hindustani’ and ‘Dum’. He is also a stakeholder of Shahrukh’s IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders.

Morani’s daughter Zoa Morani is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Shahrukh Khan’s home production ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’.

Shahrukh Khan wants superhero 8 pack abs

Shahrukh khan is famous for his dedication to the characters he plays each time in his movie. This time his dedication has turned into obsession, he was so influenced by his character in his upcoming movie Ra.One that he decided to actually have a build like the superhero. Shahrukh to get into new superhero avatar is all set to have 8 pack abs.

Shahrukh previously had a 6 pack abs for Om Shanti Om, which too was a promise made by him to his dear friend Farah Khan that he will go shirtless on screen for her. With full dedication and hard work King Khan achieved what he decided to have and the breath-taking result was visible on screen in song called ‘Darde Disco’.

The actor has again got himself focussed to achieve this new goal in fitness "Shah Rukh is being extremely particular about his workouts and eating right. He is working out hard, and may soon have the best physique in the industry. It's no wonder that he has agreed to take off his T-shirt if his team wins the IPL," says a unit member working on Ra.One as reported by Times of India.

SRK busy these days in IPL is all excited about the upcoming Ra.One and has a bag full of movies for the coming time. Hope to see your 8 pack abs soon Shahrukh

Karan Johar pens 'perfect' role for buddy Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan's role in the next Dharma Productions' film Student of The Year being directed by Karan Johar has finally been written. The film has been in the writing for a long time because Karan could not sketch the SRK character well enough.

In the recent FICCI Frames Convention, Karan realised the ability of his superstar friend when he scored more brownie points than Hugh Jackman. This made him quickly write down the character sketch of his hero.

Karan also ensured that Alia Bhatt-Mahesh Bhatt's younger daughter and Varun Dhawan-David Dhawan's son have a great co star to work with. Looks like Karan wants his film to strengthen his relationship with other prominent camps in Bollywood.

SRK assures a better body in Ra.One

SRK assures a better body in Ra.One
Shah Rukh Khan's six packs became a talking point three years ago in Om Shanti Om. And now, they are back in the news again with Prashant Sawant, Shah Rukh's trainer who made this possible, assuring an even bigger surprise in Anubhav Sinha's superhero flick, Ra.One.
He divulges, "Shah Rukh has a better body than he had during OSO. Shah Rukh gave me the brief that he wanted to look more muscular than the way he did in OSO because in Ra.One he is a superhero. So the body has to be built like that."
A visibly excited Prashant claims, "You have already seen the promos and he has got a very good response for the way his body looks."
But attaining this body was not an easy task. Prashant recalls, "It took almost six-seven months of workouts to get Shah Rukh into the suit designed for him." Prashant gives full credit to Shah Rukh for achieving this look and body to perfect his superhero act. "Shah Rukh is unbelievable, he is very good student. He never asks me 'Why am I doing this exercise?' or 'Why am I supposed to do this?' Even though he was just out from rehab for his shoulder injury, SRK never complained of any pain," recalls Prashant.

Being Shahrukh's boss

There aren't many who boss around with Shahrukh Khan. However prominent theater personality and film actor Rajesh Khattar managed to do that with the remake of DON - THE CHASE BEGINS AGAIN (2006) where he played the role of Singhania.

A flurry of boss roles notwithstanding, what with films like PRINCE, HELLO DARLING and RADIO arriving in a jiffy, Rajesh decided to take it easy when it came to similar characterisation. However after resisting the temptation for long, the man finally decided to bow down when a call came for a film with Shahrukh Khan. This was for this Friday's release MEN WILL BE MEN which is a Red Chillies presentation.

RAJESH KHATTAR

RAJESH KHATTAR

When confronted about the change in stance, Rajesh said, "Come on, no one says no to Red Chillies; anything for Shahrukh Khan. Anyways, this image of mine came into limelight when I became Shahrukh's boss in DON. So in a way I owe this image to him."

He goes on to add, "It's not that I am doing only similar roles. I am playing varied characters in my forthcoming movies and I can promise that people are going to see me in a different light this year."

If sources are to be believed, his role in MEN WILL BE MEN is quite pivotal to the plotline as it turns the tables on all four lead protagonists (played by Gaurav Chopra, Rajesh Kumar, Rohit Khurana and Rahil Tandon) towards the climax. Meanwhile there is also a buzz in the air that Rajesh has been pproached for being one of the contenders in the desi version of Survivors on TV. However he refused to comment on it.

Guess he would need the permission of his boss to make any statement here!

Shah Rukh Khan & Men Will Be Men – What’s The Connection?

Why did Fox release Dum Maaro Dum on Thursday? Was there a need for paid previews of the film a day before its release on Friday?
It was not the wisest decision to hold paid previews of Dum Maaro Dum on Thursday, as has been proved by the poor collections. It is advisable to have paid previews of films which are very eagerly awaited and which can be expected to take a flying start. Fox probably over-estimated the power of the Dum maaro dum song in the film. It may have become popular but that popularity did not translate into numbers on Thursday.
Shah Rukh Khan & Men Will Be Men – What's the Connection?
What’s this film called Men Will Be Men?
It’s a film made by the Seagram group (alcoholic drinks) and line-produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s company. The film will promote Seagram’s brand, Imperial Blue (whisky). In fact, the tag line of Imperial Blue is where the film’s title comes from.
When will Namastey London 2 go on floors?
Namastey London 2
is still in the works, i.e. the star cast, script and other details haven’t been finalised. Therefore the question of the film going on the floors does not arise at this point of time.

Eight pack abs for SRK

Actor Shah Rukh Khan is gung ho about his movie Ra.One, so much so that the actor plans to internalise all the qualities sported by the character he plays. To play a superhero, SRK thinks he should look like a superhero for starters.

His superhero costume wears him down, but SRK at the same time, is working hard to become strong. In fact, if he sported 6-pack abs in Om Shanti Om, Shah Rukh plans to surpass this and is actually working on procuring 8-pack abs.

"Shah Rukh is being extremely particular about his workouts and eating right. He is working out hard, and may soon have the best physique in the industry. It's no wonder that he has agreed to take off his T-shirt if his team wins the IPL," says a unit member working on Ra.One.

After shahrukh khan, now Salman to turn superhero

Buzz is that Salman Khan will be playing a spy agent with super powers in Kabir Khan's next. For weeks, there has been speculation surrounding the nature of his role in the film.

While producers Yash Raj maintains that the cast isn't in place, a source reveals that Sallu's character is a spy agent with the ability to do superhuman things. Interesting, given that his foe Shah Rukh Khan is playing a super hero in his next Ra.One

Apparently, Khan is looking for fresher roles. When Kabir's film came to him, he was excited because of the superhero angle. A source close to the actor reveals, "The film will be shot all around the world at different locations.

It's an espionage thriller on the lines of X-Men where Salman plays an undercover officer as a spy who also has super abilities that are hidden from others. The film will have a lot of special effects."

At the moment Kabir and Salman are having several meetings regarding the look and nature of this particular character. Kabir Khan refused to confirm on the nature of Salman's role but cheekily said, "Salman is always a superhero!"

While the Yashraj spokesperson maintained, "the cast is not final yet. We will make an announcement when it is finalised."

St Stephen girl is script writer for SRK's Ra.One

St Stephen college graduate Kanika Dhillon's story was clichéd – girl from Amritsar comes to Delhi college for graduation, heads to UK ( London School of Economics) for further education and then lands a plum job in an MNC.

Everything was as 'normal' as it could be, except that Kanika hated the word 'normal'. She'd had Bollywood aspirations since she was 17, but her parents wanted her to finish conventional education first. As soon as Kanika finished her degree in the UK, she picked the phone, called her parents and told them that she's headed to Mumbai. Now, five years later, she is the Creative Content Head at Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chilies Entertainment, and is also one of the script writers for his next magnum opus "Ra. One". Excerpts from a chat:

How did your parents react when you came to Mumbai?
They didn't entertain the idea of me going to Bollywood and asked me to finish my education first. So, when I finally called them after getting a job in London, they thought I'd lost my mind. For months they told everyone that I was overworked and was taking a break in Mumbai.

Why Bollywood – after such a plethora of degrees in your kitty?
I wanted to be in Bollywood since I was 17. I always wanted to tell stories, to write some and be a filmmaker, and here I am now.

Has your story in Mumbai been filmy?
Yes, completely. I started at the bottom of the filmy food chain, which included getting print outs for my seniors and I must say it's been a roller coaster ride emotionally. Before coming to India, I'd told my parents that there's only one person I want to work with and that's Shah Rukh Khan. If I didn't get to work with him, I'd go back to London. First thing in Mumbai, I went to the Red Chilies office with a couple of short stories and met the CEO Mr Chawla.

He liked my stories but told me that I can't just come with a story and become a writer. He said you have to start assisting first and see how it goes from there. So, that's how I got my first job. Slowly and steadily, I started doing better profiles and finally got to interact with SRK. He saw my potential and I landed my next few assignments, which included "Billu" and now " Ra.One". It's all filmy.

So, is your debut novel "Bombay Duck is a Fish", which also is about a Bollywood aspirant meeting SRK, autobiographical in nature?

No. The whole plot is fictional, even though there are a lot of motivations and inspirations from real people I met. But it's not my story. I gave a copy of the book to SRK yesterday and have also dedicated it to him.

SRK and I have great on-screen chemistry: Arjun Rampal

Arjun Rampal, who plays RA.One in Anubhav Sinha's superhero fantasy of the same name, says that he's extremely excited about performing stunts on his own. "The action sequences look fantastic. I've worked hard and enjoyed doing all the stunts by myself," he beams.

The actor, who re-shot to fame with Housefull and Raajneeti last year, has been closely involved with the film's post-production too, ensuring that he spends a couple of hours whenever possible with the technical team working on it.

The National-Award winner is quite fond of super hero films. "Batman in The Dark Night is an all-time favourite. Unlike other superheroes, he's human, born without super powers," says Arjun. "I think it's cooler to be human with some flashy gadgets that help save the world."

Arjun RampalWhen asked if his character in RA.One is anything like Batman or Superman, without divulging any details, he says, "RA.One has super powers. I can't speak beyond this because I'm contractually bound to not give away information before the publicity campaign flags off."

Arjun Rampal has earlier played a villain with RA.One's superhero and producer, Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om. "Shah Rukh and I have great on-screen chemistry. Hopefully, this time, it will be better than Om Shanti Om. I'm keeping my fingers crossed," says the actor adding that his daughters, Mahikaa and Myra, can't wait for RA.One to release. "They ask me reasons why it's taken so long in the making. I try to make them understand that large-canvas films like RA.One take a while to get ready."
Arjun, who rides a bike in the movie, admits his wife Mehr, and his mother, detest bikes. "Since they don't like motorbikes, I didn't buy one to this day. But now, I'm happy with my new Hyosung Superbike," he smiles. "Till the film releases, I'll entertain my daughters by taking them out for drives."

'Ra. One' is progressing 24X7

It is a known fact that 'Ra. One' requires extensive post production as it is pretty heavy on VFX. So much so that quite a lot of outsourcing has happened to various companies that are located not just in USA and India but also London, Paris, China and Bangkok.

"Though Shahrukh has an in-house VFX division in his production house, he is not relying on that alone to get all the results. In fact when most films would be content to have just one company, whether in India or abroad, to work on the visual effects, 'Ra. One' has gone much beyond", informs a source close to the actor.

No wonder, film's director Anubhav Sinha is still trying to adjust himself to an all-day job where he is required to work with technicians from countries spread all across the time zones.

"While first half of my day goes onto editing and visuals effects, second half has me working on the background score," says Anubhav, "Then in the night I have online meetings with people in America and Europe. The film's post production is a different challenge by itself. I am pretty much on the job 24X7. The day I take some rest, it comes on a premium."

Hope it is worthy enough Anubhav when the film releases this Diwali.

Shahrukh Khan stopped Tweeting as people have agenda with their words

As we all know that Shahrukh Khan has been avoiding the Twitter like a plague after a lot of things went wrong in his personal life and apparently relationships also soured over a few comments. Thus he decided to swear off the networking site for good. However, when recently he was asked about it in an interview, he said that since people always have agenda to their words he decide to walk away.
Shahrukh Khan is also happy with the way things have turned up for Kolkata Knight Riders and he hopes that this time his team would surely take the coveted cup Home. In the interview to Times of India, when asked as to why controversies have been a part of the franchise SRK was very diplomatic. He said that given the profile of the Franchise this is bound to happen and that he remains unfazed by the controversies.
The actor was however upset regarding the fact that things did not work out between the team and Sourav Ganguly and he was happy with the way that the team is working this Season. He is also happy that the people of Kolkata has forgiven him and everyone is thronging Eden Gardens again.

Talking about his Twitter Account he said that since he works he feels that he has to be vocal with his fans but somehow that is not working at all. Further adding he said, "I am somebody who leads life the most natural way. When I work I need to connect with people, so I come out and talk. I was using twitter to make myself vocal. But people kept saying things. The world has become such now that everything has an agenda to it. So I walked away."

Katrina Kaif gets both Shahrukh and Salman!

Those swearing allegiance to Shahrukh Khan’s camp have often found themselves chucked out from Salman Khan’s good books, but Katrina Kaif, Khan’s ex flame, is an exception.

For Katrina happens to be the only actress in Hindi film industry who’s now readying to work with both the feuding Khans, in different films obviously. Yes, you read it right.

Katrina, we hear, has at last been finalized to play the leading lady of Salman Khan in director Kabir Khan’s next film. Kabir, who directed Kat in the hit Yashraj film New York, zeroed down on Katrina despite the likes of Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra also vying for the role.

Apparently, Katrina and Salman have no issues working with each other. They have continued to remain friends even after their break-up and it would be quite something to see their onscreen chemistry now.

Film with Salman locked, Katrina is also rolling up her sleeves for her first pairing with Shahrukh Khan in a film to be directed by none other than the stalwart Yash Chopra himself.

With Salman on one hand and Shahrukh on the other, it’s the best of both worlds for Kat.

All eyes on SRK

High, Low and everything in between... tracing the many moods of Shah Rukh Khan through the first four matches at the Eden in IPL 2011
BEAT DECCAN CHARGER
Kolkata Knight Riders won their first home match — against the Deccan Chargers — on April 11 but why wasn’t Shah Rukh excited? Was it the lack of local support as the half-empty stadium seemed to scream out? SRK did talk about controversies (read: Sourav) getting to him, but a win was a win. Having lost to Chennai in the opening away game, this was the first victory for Gautam Gambhir’s freshly-baked team. With co-owner (the ever-smiling) Juhi Chawla by his side, SRK quietly walked out into the presentation area and waved to the sprinkling of supporters who had stayed back in the stands. “We owe it to Calcutta, the team is their team,” he said, urging Calcutta to come and support KKR on home turf.
BEAT RAJASTHAN ROYALS
The night the floodgates opened. After a thumping win against the Rajasthan Royals in Rajasthan, Shah Rukh was already on a high and when Gambhir and Co. made mincemeat of Shane Warne’s men at the Eden that Sunday, King Khan switched to party mode. Having prayed right through the match, he ran on to the ground and did a victory parade around the stadium on his own. A hurrah of team hugs later, he played the now-famous SRK-Sunny match that saw Gavaskar making his Eden comeback after decades. Shane Warne joined in and Shah Rukh smashed the legendary leggie to all corners of the park, er, the 30-yard circle. With SRK on a roll, the real action often begins after it’s all over.
LOST TO KOCHI TUSKERS Kerala
Looking straight out of the poster of Swades here, Shah Rukh was in a contemplative mood after KKR lost to Kochi Tuskers Kerala last Wednesday. When Kochi scored just 132, KKR was the favourite to cross the line but as the wickets tumbled, SRK and the rest of the Eden crowd went silent. Despite the kid gang — children Aryan and Suhana and their friends — milling around him, Shah Rukh didn’t hang around after the presentation, leaving the stadium in a sombre mood. He spent the next day at ITC Sonar Calcutta chilling with friends and family, and briefly stepping out for a friendly brand visit.
LOST TO ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE
With 171 on the board, Shah Rukh really fancied a KKR win against Team Mallya’s RCB. He went down to the dugout during the break, called Yusuf Pathan (who had scored a 24-ball 46 with an injury) from the middle of the greens and gave him a long, tight hug. He chatted with Wasim Akram and the rest of the support staff and stayed back in the dugout for the start of the Bangalore innings. Then the Gayle hit home. The sixes started raining like missiles and Shah Rukh took cover in the comfort of his cool box. His team was outplayed by an ex-Knight and he was elbowed out of the spotlight by his former co-star. Deepika Padukone’s PDA with Sid Mallya was the talking point even as SRK played out a round of catch-catch with the young ones.

Shah Rukh Khan’s briefs: to show or not to show
FOR
1) His team’s theme song goes We are hot... and the KKR owner literally wears it on his undies, er, sleeve. He does look smoking hot!
2) The KKR owner also croons ‘We are cool...’ in the video. And we do admit his peek-a-boo ishtyle is pretty cool! The turban-with-a-twist in Jaipur followed by this dare bare at Eden Gardens...
3) With such washboard abs, SRK has every right to show it off, below the (missing) belt.
4) SRK plays a superhero in Ra.One. And in the true-blue superman tradition, he sure can let them pop out now and then. He can even wear them inside out!
Against
1) “Undergarments and/or innerwear are by their very nomenclature expected to be ‘under’ and ‘in’ our outer clothes,” says lingerie expert and t2 columnist Swati Gautam. Shah Rukh, are you listening?
2) It wasn’t a wardrobe malfunction, but it almost became one. King Khan’s jeans came dangerous close to slipping off his hips, with no belt to hold them up.
3) SRK or no SRK, this looks more sloppy than sexy.

SRK helps KKR survive

The actor and IPL team owner is more a business man than a sports enthusiast?

Actor Shah Rukh Khan is often applauded for business acumen. And though his team hasn't been the strongest of the lot in the previous IPL seasons, Kolkata Knight Riders is one team that, people say, has been able to rake in the moolah. And it's all thanks to King Khan!

SRK has gone on record to say, IPL isn't about money. It's more about the sport. However, Shah Rukh is such a big brand himself that advertisers flock in to have him and his team display their logos. We are told, "Also, any team owner is so involved with their team that they'll go out of their way to do things for sponsors backing them. It works out more economically if you support a cause actors are so close to."

Now we hear, that a credit card company recently shot an ad with SRK, and will soon be roping his KKR team to be part of the TV commercial and ad campaign. "Shah Rukh Khan is a brand himself. He adds, "Yes, cricket is religion in India, and when you mix it with the flamboyance of Shah Rukh Khan it just gets more intriguing."
