The Post Holi Bash Held at Shahrukh Khan’s Residence, Mannat

Mar 22, Mumbai: While the entire country was busy playing Holi during the day, Shahrukh Khan and his cronies were busy celebrating at night.

Gauri, SRK’s better half had planned and organized this social gathering. She felt that King Khan was away from home and friends for a long time. So, this would be a nice way for his to catch up with them. The party was held after Holi got over, because the colours and water spoil the garden, despite paying Holi being a great source of fun.

The party was held at Shahrukh sprawling bungalow in Bandra, Mannat. The addition to the list of reasons was that SRK and his friends love watching cricket matches and that evening there was a match between West Indies and India going on. So SRK and his friends would have a great time watching it together on SRK’s huge LCD television, installed at home.

Gauri Khan had sent out personalized invites and had she organized the sumptuous dinner along with a variety of Indian sweets like jalebees and bhaang.
Among the invitees, Maheep and Sanjay Kapoor, Adhuna and Farhaan Akhtar, Aditya Chopra, Suzanne and Hrithik Roshan, Mehr Jessia and Arjun Rampal and Rani Mukerji were present.

Shahrukh Khan tries to patch up Shahid-Priyanka

Though Shahrukh Khan calls himself unsocial, and always part ways from the people whom he think can hurt him, still he is now days playing the role of an agony aunt (the paramount social designation) and has turned into a peace maker between tinsel town’s once most happening couple Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

Shahrukh Khan threw a post Holi bash for his friends and he invited Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor to his party and of course when SRK invites someone, you do not say no. But Shahid and Priyanka don’t seem to be in mood of patching up and that is why they arrived in different cars and tried to ignore each other’s presence.

There were also other Bollywood celebrities and friends of Shahrukh present like Hrithik Roshan, Suzanne Roshan, Karan Johar, Aamir Khan with wife Kiran Rao, Farhan Akhtar amongst many others.

SRK, Jackman dance to Dhak Dhak

Call me Jack bhai,” said Hugh Jackman at the FICCI Frames movie convention in Mumbai on Friday evening. Given the comfort that the X-Men star exuded, Jackman clearly felt at home.

In Mumbai as the celebrity guest at the FICCI convention, Jackman was a part of the valedictory session with Shah Rukh Khan as Karan Johar played host. As the house went up in applause upon his arrival with wife Deborra Lee-Furness, Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan introduced him. Women especially were seen craning their necks for a good look at the actor who looked dapper in a grey suit and short cropped hair.

Thanking the actress, who slipped out of the room soon after, he said, “When I was told that I’ll be introduced by the most beautiful actress in the world, I thought they meant my wife.” After receiving the reaction he expected, Jackman added, “I say this because I’m a smart man, and also because my wife’s seated in the front row.”

Jackman offers X-Men to SRK

The occasion was the closing ceremony of FICCI FRAMES 2011, which brought Bollywood's Shah Rukh Khan and Hollywood's Hugh Jackman together on the same platform.

Though SRK's fan following is unmatchable, the Baadshah of Bollywood is a self confessed fan of Wolverine star Hugh Jackman. Talking about Hugh, SRK said, "I have seen a lot of Hugh's films and also his work on TV. I loved Wolverine the most and during our discussion just a while back, Hugh offered me to be part of the next X-Men installment. I told him I am in. I would definitely love to do X-Men with him.

Just as SRK made that revelation, Hugh jumped in and said, "Well, Oh! I just asked you to finance the film." This was just one of the many light-hearted moments that electrified the crowd present at FICCI. Both the stars were a treat with their quick wit and amazing sense of humour. Though the two were just joking about the next X-Men film, we hope SRK and Hugh give the idea of working together a serious thought!
