“Farah was initially supposed to choreograph a song for Ra.One, but we were informed that she is not doing it now and that it’ll be done by Ganesh,” said a film unit member.
Hegde himself, confirmed that he’s doing two dance numbers for Ra.One.
Though it could not be ascertained as to what or who opted out of the song, sources suggest that it was Shah Rukh who did not want to include Farah Khan in the project. The actor and the filmmaker had a major fall out just before she announced Tees Maar Khan.
When contacted, Farah claimed that she never agreed to choreograph a song for the actor. “I never said that I was going to choreograph any song for Ra.One. I’m not choreographing any song and there are no plans in the pipeline. There’s nothing more to read into it,” she said.
Shah Rukh has steadily avoided Farah and her husband, filmmaker Shirish Kunder in public places. Apparently a film Happy New Year that had been planned with Shah Rukh has also been dumped. “That film has been shelved. All the dates initially allotted for Happy New Year were used up for Anubhav Sinha’s Ra.One,” a source adds.
