SRK injury tones down his excitement

Even before Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ventured out to play the crucial match against Pune Warriors last evening, Shah Rukh Khan knew he’d have to tone down his excitement.

The reason: an injury to his right leg. The actor walked in for the music release of his forthcoming production, Al

ways Kabhi Kabhi, with a visible limp.

When asked how he had hurt himself, Khan smiled, “I wish I could say that the reason for this was something macho; like an injury while shooting a stunt for RA.One or Don 2. But that’s not the case. I got caught in a puddle and turned my foot while trying to extricate myself. In the process, the cartilage was ruptured.”

SRK in injury trouble
Last evening’s match had sparked off plenty of curiosity given that Sourav Ganguly, who was part of Khan’s KKR for the first three Indian Premier League (IPL) editions was taking the field against them.

When asked why Ganguly didn’t turn up at his house party a few days ago, Khan said the bash was meant for his team only: “It was the first time the boys were in Mumbai for three days. It was Gauri’s idea to call them home.”
