Informs a source, "Even the bigwigs at Yash Raj Films were surprised to hear about this so-called leaks, this when media has been duly presented with so much information about the film's shoot which is currently in progress. Various stills involving Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif have already been released which is actually quite uncharacteristic of Yash Raj Films since the production house is usually quite protective of their movies during the making stage. However since this is after years that Yash Chopra is directing a film, there was bound to be immense curiosity around the finer details."

This means that while a little while ago there were murmurs around the film being a remake of Chopra Sr.'s own DAAG [Rajesh Khanna, Sharmila Tagore, Rakhi Gulzar], the 'leak' of title as LONDON ISHQ only ended up spreading like wildfire.

"It was particularly amusing since within a couple of days there were debates surging online about this being the right title of the film or not", adds a PR expert, "There hasn't been one media forum which didn't seem to have a point of view around the title. While this is good in a way since the film got its right share of publicity, sometimes such over enthusiasm can be counter productive because you never know which way the audience mood tilts. And Chopras would certainly not like that and that too due to a mere title. This one is a biggie and they should rather curb such news-spread if this title isn't correct."
No wonder, the makers understand that as well and hence a prompt denial has come from them. When contacted, Rafiq Gangjee, Vice President (Marketing & Communications), Yash Raj Films, confirmed that all that one is hearing about the film's title is indeed false. He said, "No, LONDON ISHQ is not the title of this film."
Guess the speculation game would begin all over again now.
