Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra: PC Caught Lying About Affair

Priyanka Chopra can't catch a break. Her name has been dragged through the mud thanks to the allegations that she's been having an affair with Don 2 co-star Shahrukh Khan, and after months of keeping completely silent on the matter she finally tried to undo the damage, only to end up making things much, much worse for herself.

In the past Priyanka hasn't been shy about her affection for Shahrukh. She was giddy as a schoolgirl earlier this year when she admitted that SRK was the only star capable of making her blush, and when she appeared on Koffee with Karan both Karan Johar and fellow guest Shahid Kapoor teased her mercilessly over Shahrukh. At the time it all seemed very innocent—Priyanka was just a young actress who was completely in awe of her incredibly famous co-star. Nothing scandalous in that whatsoever. But once the affair rumors began, things took a serious turn, and now Priyanka's trying to do damage control.

She recently attempted to deny that she had ever claimed SRK made her blush. The media pelted her with questions about the statement at an event for her film Tere Mere Kahani and she was caught telling a complete lie: "I never said anything of that sort!"

Except of course that she did. So why deny it? It's not even a very telling statement. Shahrukh Khan probably makes plenty of women blush, but that doesn't mean he's having an affair with any of them. It was a totally innocent statement made by Priyanka that has now been made to seemingly imply guilt on her part by how vehemently she's denying it.

It would probably be best for Priyanka to continue on professionally and simply refuse to answer such questions. There's no need to dignify personal questions with answers, especially at the launch of a new film. Questions about an affair have nothing to do with Tere Mere Kahani and while journalists probably won't stop asking her about it, Priyanka should be wary of giving them any ammunition for further stories. She's been doing a great job of ignoring the issue recently—hopefully this was just an isolated incidence of her losing her cool and not an indication that she's going to start actually giving credence to the rumors by discussing them with the media.

Shahrukh Khan to play the hockey legend Dhyan Chand?

Shahrukh Khan, who became the posterboy of Indian hockey after the release and super-success of Chak De India in 2007 is now set to give another fillip to the national game.

From what we hear, the superstar might play the role of the Hockey legend Dhyan Chand, in a Bollywood movie that is in the works. In case you don’t know, Dhyan Chand is the best hockey player to have come from India and he was certainly the world’s best from 1928 to 1936. He won three Olympic Gold Medals (1928, 1932 and 1936) and was often called the ‘wizard’ for his incredible ball control.

Now, Bollywood is going to pay a tribute to Dhyan Chand with a biopic and the makers are reportedly considering Shahrukh Khan for the lead role.

Shahrukh already has a good grip over his hockey playing skills and displayed some of those in Chak De India in which he played the coach of a girl’s hockey team. Since then, the superstar has lend his support to promoting the game on several occasions, but his portrayal of Dhyan Chand will be the most valuable contribution to the National sport.

Bollywoodlife catches up with DJ Khushi, who candidly reveals how Shahrukh Khan and AR Rahman changed his life

DJ Khush Soni is slowly but steadily grooving his way up the chart of remixes. He has worked on Chammak challo from Ra.One, Hossana from Ekk Deewana Tha, ‘Anarkali disco chali’ and ‘Right now now’ from Housefull 2. And while on this journey he talks about the milestones that defined his course.

Ra.One changed my life

DJ Khushi shot to fame with the official remix of Chammak challo. “Chammak challo was a mixture of everything I could ask for,” Soni says. “Ra.One was one of its kind, with all the money involved. Also, there was Akon and helluva lot of promotions. So all put together it was a recipe not easy to create.” Thanks to it all, the DJ’s remix did very well. “When the remix was uploaded on You Tube it got half a million hits in a few hours. It gave me recognition all over the world. People now know my name. Life has changed and I can’t thank Shahrukh (Khan) enough for that.”

Working with Shahrukh Khan

Shahrukh Khan wanted the remix to be special. And along with DJ Khushi, Abhijit Vaghani was given the task of remixing RA.One’s item number. But Khushi’s track made it to the official album. “When I sent him (SRK) a demo, he really liked it. He came to Delhi and said that he wanted it to be a part of the album. So I had to do it within two days. It was all very quick, but at the end of the day it was a good experience,” he remembers. And so was working with the Baadshah of Bollywood. “SRK is a very humble guy, very down to earth. He makes sure that you feel very comfortable,” Khushi has found about King Khan.

Indian DJs lack support

“International DJs in India get a lot more attention than we do,” says Soni. Giving the example of David Guetta he explains, “When Guetta arrived, people went gaga over him. (Look at) how much promotion he got! We don’t get that kind of support from the media or the industry,” Khushi complains. But he has his reasons for staying put.

I get paid for making people dance to my tunes….

Making people jive is what drives this DJ. “The best part about being a DJ is that I get paid for making people dance to my own tunes, something only women get to do,” Khushi chuckles. “The biggest high is when you are playing for a crowd. Everybody has so much stress in their lives. So when they’re out they want to forget all that. And if I am the man responsible for them having a good time, it’s a great high for me,” Khushi says, talking about his passion.

A good melody is, after all, a good melody

What makes DJ Khushi stand out? ”I put in a lot of effort into melodies. That’s because Indian people love melodies. And all over the world a good melody is, after all, a good melody. So I put a lot of effort into melodies that a layman can relate to. I refrain from going ‘bang bang bang,” he elaborates. And sure enough, this style got him noticed and that too by none other than music maestro AR Rahman!

Meeting AR Rahman

“I met Rahman at the Filmfare awards,” Soni sighs. And that was an experience he’ll never forget in this lifetime. “His presence was so strong that I was left speechless. I was briefly introduced to him, but I couldn’t talk much because I didn’t know what to say to a brilliant man like him.” Like every other person in the industry, Soni wanted to work with the maestro. But Rahman isn’t a big fan of remixes. And hence the DJ wasn’t very hopeful. Then the unexpected happened. “I got a call from Sony Music and was told that there is a song by Rahman that I need to work on. I jumped at the opportunity without asking what song, what movie. Just the name ‘Rahman’ was enough. I think am the first DJ who has ever remixed a Rahman song (Hossana from Ekk Deewana Tha).”

SRK adapts Katrina’s style of acting!

Any actor working in film for more than a decade, adapts himself to a particular working style and doesn’t want to change that. But Shahrukh Khan is different. He is one actor who is open to changes and recently, while shooting for Yash Chopra’s film, he adapted Katrina Kaif’s style of acting.

“I got to shoot with Katrina Kaif for the first time, which was wonderful. I do a couple of films a year and I haven’t worked with her. I think she is a stupendous actor. Everyone says about her being hardworking and very talented. It’s more important how we work together..how we work as a team,” Shahrukh Khan told.

The superstar had to adapt Kats style of acting since, her way of approaching a scene was totally different from his.

“When Katrina is doing a scene, she has a different way of approaching it. And when she approaches it differently, as a co-actor I also try to think if she is doing it differently, there must be a reason so let me also try it and adapt myself to do it differently. So that give and take has been absolutely fantastic,” said the 47-year-old superstar.

The movie is slated for a Diwali release this year.
