 | One of the long-standing rivalries of the Hindi film industry was there for all to see at Filmistan Studios in Goregaon yesterday when Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan came close but remained coldly distant.
Salman has been shooting for producer and brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri’s film Bodyguard in Filmistan since a few days. The shoot had been going smoothly and the unit was also having fun until the news came that Shahrukh Khan would also be shooting in the vicinity.
Tension prevailed as Salman filmed his portions on the third floor of the studios while Shahrukh shot on the first floor. Some people anticipated Shahrukh to drop by on the sets of Bodyguard as King Khan is on good terms with Atul Agnihotri.
But perhaps SRK did not want to create a scene with Salman and give the media more grist for rumours, so he stayed away.
Moreover, both Salman and SRK were visibly quiet during their respective shoots. They would shoot and then retire back to their vans. Normally, Salman would sit out and share jokes and laughs with people, but he remained to himself yesterday.
And so yet another opportunity to put a decisive end to the enmity between Salman and SRK was squandered because of petty egos. |
