Ajmer, Apr 19: SRK’s may be a story of success and prosperity. However, behind the palpable stardom along with its pelf and prestige, there lurks a grieving heart with its share of sorrow and separation. It was the 20th anniversary of his mother’s death. The solemn occasion saw Shahrukh Khan one of the most sought after stars of Bollywood visiting the venerated burial of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti at Ajmer. Shahrukh commemorated the occasion by offering chaddar at its haloed alter. The revered shrine draws multitude of pilgrims from various corners of India and places beyond it.
The actor, who is often found reflecting philosophically over his parents’ death, had once testified to its enlightening influence. The death of his mother Lateef Fatima made him realize about the impermanence of life.
As expected, a retinue of admirers thronged the noted cite to catch one treasured glimpse of their star. Students waited in eager anticipation for his autograph. Much to the dismay of his fans, the security personnel saw to it that the place was duly cleared of crowd before SRK could be ushered in. Fearing a stampede, Shahrukh was closely guarded in through the backside entrance. In spite, of all arrangements the mob could not be avoided. Well that’s the price to pay for being the Badshah of Bollywood.
