Shahrukh Khan to have his keen surgery performed in Mumbai

Shahrukh Khan will undergo a knee surgery in Mumbai in the last week of July. Earlier SRK had planned to have the surgery performed in the US.

Dr Ali Irani who had performed the surgery on Shah Rukh's shoulder will lead the team of doctors who will make a final determination on the operation and the corrective action to take on his knee. As had been earlier reported some of the muscle tendons and ligaments in Shahrukh's knee are beyond repair.

Shahrukh Khan is in good hands as Dr Ali Irani is a specialist in sports medicine and was the resident orthopaedic for the Indian cricket team; he is also Sachin Tendulkar's personal medical consultant.

Andrew Leipus who is the physiotherapist for the Kolkata Knight Riders is also a specialist in Shahrukh's physiotherapy team. It is expected that Shahrukh will fully recover in one month following the procedure.

Why did Shahrukh opt to have the surgery performed in Mumbai

Shahrukh want to spend time with his family and also keep a close watch on the ongoing promotion of his upcoming superhero flick Ra.One. Both of these activities need him to be in Mumbai as his children have their school and staying in Mumbai will give him the option to continue to go to office.

We hope that all goes well with Shahrukh’s operation, and he returns to superhero action in a blink!
