Bollywood baadshah Shahrukh Khan is set to perform at an Eid event in Dubai along with Indian musicians Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan and actresses Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor.
It is rumored that American rapper 50 Cent and Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram will also be taking part in the event.
The show, that will also feature a host of Arab, Iranian, Indian and Filipino performers, will be held on the sidelines of consumer fair Shoppiesta. It will continue for five days at Meydan from August 3rd with two concerts each night.
According to organizers, there will be shopping stalls, adventure sports arcades and a myriad of other entertainment and lifestyle attractions apart from the concert.
Krishna Ramanathan, the maganing director of Citron (which owns Shoppiesta) told Gulf News, “We’re aiming for the masses. The majority of the tickets are going to be very well priced, starting it Dh40 for the concert and DH5 for entry to the fair.”
“This is not an elitist event. The event will feature all the things Dubai does best, from adventure sports, shopping and leisure activities during the five-day public holiday period all under one rood and all at very affordable prices.”
