As per reports, the jewellery brand played the Kareena Kapoor-starrer song from ‘Ra.One’ at the time of displaying their creation during the fourth day of the IIJW that was held in Mumbai.
Well-known actress Amrita Rao and other sizzling models sashayed the ramp, as the ‘Chammak Challo’ music played in the background.
But, as the song was not officially released by the filmmakers, they took legal action against the jewellery brand Agni for illegally using it.
Confirming the reports, head of the music label, Bhushan Kumar said, "Yes, we have sent a legal notice to Agni for using our unreleased song without prior permission. It is an illegal thing to do.
“We are moving court and suing them for about Rs 2 crore. One needs to get a license to use any song for a show. However, for an unreleased song you cannot even obtain a license."
Shahrukh loses his cool
Apparently, Shahrukh, who has taken a lot of pain in making ‘Ra.One’, lost his cool when he came to know that the jewellery brand had used the unreleased song from his venture.
Stating the same, a source close to the film unit said, "SRK was livid when he learnt that the unreleased number has been used by the brand.”
Earlier, the ‘Chammak Challo’ song, which has been crooned by the western rapper Akon, was leaked online.
