New-age teen romance in Always Kabhi Kabhi

Roshan Abbas, Zoa Morani, Giselle Monterio, Ali Fazal, and Satyajit Dubey and the team of Always Kabhi Kabhi was in town yesterday to promote it.

Revealing a bit about the film, director Roshan Abbas said, “The film is all about what teenagers go through in their adolescent years; about their expectations, aspirations, dreams and ambitions.” The film is an adaptation of a play – Graffiti that Roshan had directed in 1999.

Actor Zoa Morani, Karim Morani’s daughter, who plays a character called Nandini, said, “Nandini is a very rebellious girl who gets angry very easily and fights with everyone but, is good at heart. At school, I was quite rebellious, because my parents were very strict and I was not allowed to do many things that other teenagers were allowed to.” Actor Giselle Monterio said, “I play Aishwarya in the film who is very shy and conscious. I had to work very hard on my Hindi but I think I have done justice to my role.” Ali Fazal, who plays the character of Sameer Khanna in the film said, “I think the film is about the different phases that we all go through as teenagers. At some or other point in the film, all of us will relate to the characters because it is about re-living the best moments of our lives – which is school life.”
