Being Shahrukh's boss

There aren't many who boss around with Shahrukh Khan. However prominent theater personality and film actor Rajesh Khattar managed to do that with the remake of DON - THE CHASE BEGINS AGAIN (2006) where he played the role of Singhania.

A flurry of boss roles notwithstanding, what with films like PRINCE, HELLO DARLING and RADIO arriving in a jiffy, Rajesh decided to take it easy when it came to similar characterisation. However after resisting the temptation for long, the man finally decided to bow down when a call came for a film with Shahrukh Khan. This was for this Friday's release MEN WILL BE MEN which is a Red Chillies presentation.

When confronted about the change in stance, Rajesh said, "Come on, no one says no to Red Chillies; anything for Shahrukh Khan. Anyways, this image of mine came into limelight when I became Shahrukh's boss in DON. So in a way I owe this image to him."

He goes on to add, "It's not that I am doing only similar roles. I am playing varied characters in my forthcoming movies and I can promise that people are going to see me in a different light this year."

If sources are to be believed, his role in MEN WILL BE MEN is quite pivotal to the plotline as it turns the tables on all four lead protagonists (played by Gaurav Chopra, Rajesh Kumar, Rohit Khurana and Rahil Tandon) towards the climax. Meanwhile there is also a buzz in the air that Rajesh has been pproached for being one of the contenders in the desi version of Survivors on TV. However he refused to comment on it.

Guess he would need the permission of his boss to make any statement here!
