It was big news that Hollywood actor Tom Cruise was following Indian actor Shahid Kapoor on Twitter. A little investigation revealed that Shahid was not the only Indian actor the "Mission Impossible" star is 'friends' with on the microblogging website.
He is also tracking the online activities of Shah Rukh Khan, Gul Panag and some members of the media.However, this account is not the actor's personal one. A fan club called TomCruise.com runs this account. The page has no authentication confirming that Cruise doesn't have any direct involvement in any activity related to interacting with the fans and fellow actors.
The description of the account says, "Official TomCruise.com team tweets. Does Tom tweet? Sometimes between family & filming and it's clear when he does! We love you guys! (sic)"
Unlike Ashton Kutcher or Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom isn't someone who has a major web presence or influence. In fact, a few years ago, in an interview, he had once said that the internet and its growing clout scares him
