Shahrukh Khan doesn’t want to be a cop like Salman Khan or Aamir Khan!

Both Salman Khan and Aamir Khanare happy to play cops in their filmsDabangg 2 and Talaash, butShahrukh Khan doesn’t want to join the bandwagon. The superstar has declined Gautam Menon’s cop film for the remake of A.R. Murugadoss’s Tamil film Ramana.

Earlier there were reports that Shahrukh Khan is confused between two films. Coincidentally, both the films are remakes of two superhit Tamil films. Director Gautham Menon wanted Shahrukh for the remake ofVettiyadu Villayadu, a cop film; while A.R. Murugadoss approached the King Khan for the remake of Ramana, a film about an anti-corruption crusader.

And now according to the latest buzz, Shahrukh Khan has signaled his nod to Murugadoss for Ramana remake. The film, which is being produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, has been on the cards for a while; apparently Bhansali has been meeting the star quite regularly for narrations.

The sources claim that Shahrukh showed interest in Bhansali’s project because, “Both his rivals Aamir and Salman are coming up with cop films, and he did not want to join the gang. He was looking for something strong yet sensitive, and this seemed like the perfect choice.”

Also Murugadoss’s last Hindi film Ghajini was an all-time blockbuster and Shahrukh Khan was keen to work with him. In the Ramana remake, Shahrukh would play a common man, who takes on the corrupt system. Shahrukh has never played a part like this before, and the film will help him to connect with the audience.

What do you think of Shahrukh Khan as an anti-corruption crusader? Can the actor pull off the role?
