Shahrukh Khan may play Jawaharlal Nehru

Shahrukh Khan

Mumbai: The cast has not yet been zeroed in but Bruce Beresford's biopic on former Indian prime minister Indira Gandhi is making waves because of a possibility that Shahrukh Khan may essay a major role in it.

According to reports, the makers of the film used a special face recognition technology to test which actor would best resemble the characters to be played on screen.

Buzz is that Shahrukh Khan was the top choice to play Jawaharlal Nehru because his face most closely resembled India's first prime minister.

It is not known who the other actors in the foray are. However reports say that the names include some Hollywood heavyweights.

If things fall into place in favour of King Khan, it may turn out to be a milestone in his career due to the importance of the role and the real-life stature of the person he portrays on screen.

There are many in B-town who would love to have the honour of playing JLN on screen. What say SRK?
