Mumbai, Mar 30 (PTI) Superstar Shahrukh Khan, who took a break from his shooting schedule to watch the high voltage India-Pakistan World Cup semi-final match on television, today said that he will go to the Wankhede stadium if the team reaches the finals of the mega-event. Khan watched the match along with friends Farhan Akhtar, Karan Johar, Hrithik and Suzzanne Roshan at his home 'Mannat' in suburban Mumbai. Talking to reporters after the end of the Indian innings, the actor said the home team had put up a good score and expressed confidence that India will move into the final, to be played in Mumbai against Sri Lanka on Saturday. "Abhi picture baki hai (The game is not over yet)," he said adding that though the Pakistani batsmen were good, India will defend the total of 260.

And his stunt was pleasantly welcomed by the gathered members who otherwise were having quite serious discussions. Talking about it SRK said, “My wife always tells me, 'Please don't try to be funny at serious events...please don't speak too much'. And I am told this is a very serious event.”
Getting back to the serious topic SRK expressed his concerns about the politicization of Mumbai by saying that Indian cinema is heading from Mumbai to Melrose. And though he would have preferred the transition as Bombay to Beverly Hills he thinks that that kind of alliteration is not allowed to Muslim actors.
Talking about communalism SRK expressed, “I truly believe that politicians should not use religion as an agenda. It is just not acceptable. The issues like education, development and women's upliftment, which are sidelined, are the basic political issues which need to be looked upon.”

The last release of Shahrukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment Billu Barber (Billu) was a box office dud but the production house has lined up two releases this year. If one is the mega budget Ra.One, another is young-at-heart romantic comedy Always Kabhi Kabhi with four young faces.
The Love Aaj Kal find Giselle Monteiro plays one of the main leads while Karim Morani’s beautiful daughter Zoa Morani is making her Bollywood debut with this film. Hrithik-Suzanne upset with SRK-Gauri
Two thick friends of the industry, Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan turned foes. What went wrong between the two was known but Shahrukh Khan did not invited Hrithik Roshan and Suzanne to his bash thrown in honor of Hollywood star Hugh Jackman at Mannat.
Except the Roshans, King Khan’s all time friends were all invited but Hrithik was left out. Not only professionally but personally also the duo share a great rapport. Their wives were also thick friends and Suzanne revealed this even on the show, ‘Koffee With Karan’.
The Roshans were very upset for not being invited to SRK’s party and to take revenge Hrithik also organized a lavish party in association with a luxury brand but left out SRK, Gauri and those present at the actor’s bash.

Others in the list are little known businessmen, especially from the mining sector.
Advance tax, which is based on the taxpayers' projected earnings, is paid in installments in June, September, December and March.
Akshay Kumar and Shahrukh Khan have paid 10 crore each as advance tax. Akshay, however, paid 50 lakh more in tax this fiscal as compared with Shahrukh Khan.
Some of India's, and the world's, wealthiest such as Mukesh Ambani and Azim Premji, do not figure in the list of highest advance taxpayers as they could be deriving a large portion of their annual incomes from dividends, which are not taxable in the hands of individual taxpayers.
Companies pay a dividend distribution tax on the dividends given out by them to their shareholders.
The Bollywood superstars were way ahead of stars from the cricketing world -- Sachin Tendulkar and M S Dhoni -- both of whom did not make it to the list of top 15. The two cricketers, however, are in the list of top 100 advance taxpayers.
Miner Kamaljeet Singh Ahluwalia leads the top 15 list, paying an advance tax of 50 crore in March. Ahluwalia paid a total of 95 crore in advance tax this fiscal.
Asim Ghosh, former CEO of Vodafone Essar, paid 27 crore, while Dabur's Vivek C Burman paid 22.6 crore tax in March. B G Raghupathy, founder of BGR Energy Systems , paid an advance tax of 16.7 crore, his spouse and a director on the company board, Sasikala Raghupathy, paid 10.2 crore.

This is even true for our film industry where the men are given prominence like in the recent RA.One promos Kareena Kapoor was no were as Aishwarya was not given much importance in Robot. Shahrukh set to play serial killer Charles Sobhraj!

And if the latest news that is doing the rounds is to be believed then it will be a phenomenal story altogether. Buzz has it that Shahrukh Khan might fancy getting into the shoes of worlds most dreaded thug and serial killer Charles Sobhraj!
According to the latest reports, French filmmaker Alain Andre is making a flick on the serial killer and he has wished to cast none other than the undisputed king of Bollywood in the film as the lead role.
“We were sure we wanted Shahrukh Khan ... We think he is the best person to portray Sobhraj,” said Andre to whom Sobhraj has given exclusive rights for his biopic.
“Just before Charles got free from Delhi’s Tihar jail, Chantal (his first wife) asked us (Andre and partner Francois) to make a movie,” said the filmmaker. “Charles wanted to be famous, to see his stories in books and novels, which is why he never said ‘no, I’m innocent’,’’ he added.
The director is now looking for a co-producer from Bollywood to make the film, which he plans to set in India, where Sobhraj spent some years.
Director Andre also added that Sobhraj has demanded that he should not be portrayed as a killer in the movie. Sobhraj’s lawyer Isabelle Coutant Peyre said, “I have asked Mr André to finalise a movie project about the life of Charles Sobhraj, with my total control on the contents on his behalf.” daily times monitor

Shahrukh Khan was all wit and charm while hobnobbing with the Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman on the closing day of FICCI Frames in Mumbai last week. But one gesture by the superstar has become a subject of talk among his fans.While cracking funny oneliners with Jackman and even joking about doing a film together, Shahrukh did something that surprised a lot of people. Upon receiving an award from Jackman, Shahrukh went down on his knees and bent so low that it seemed he would prostrate in front of the Aussie star.

Another piece of news is definitely going to cheer up the nation in grip of the World Cup fever. King Khan has come up with his intention to watch the semi final tie between India and Pakistan. He has taken break from all appointments and assignments to watch the crucial match with his friends. The close friends having been invited are gearing up to be with SRK in ‘Mannat’ for the match to be played in Mohali. Gauri Khan is reported to be finalizing a special menu to celebrate the occasion.

नई दिल्ली। देश की प्रतिष्ठा का सबब बना भारत-पाक सेमीफाइनल में क्या होगा ये तो 30 तारीख को मोहाली के मैदान पर दिखायी देगा। लेकिन मैदान के बाहर इस मैच का रोमांच अभी से दोगुना हो गया है। मात्र दो दिन दूर इस मैच को देखने के लिए लोगों में उत्सुकता बढ़ती ही जा रही है। कल पत चला था कि पाक प्रधानमंत्री गिलानी, मनमोहन सिंह के निमंत्रण पर मैच देखने मोहाली आ रहे हैं।

With Ra.One, SRK wants to make his children proud
Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan wants to make his children proud with his upcoming film 'Ra.one'.
"'Ra.one' is a very special film I made for my kids. I hope I can make my children proud and this country proud. I am trying my best to make it a very good film," Shahrukh said.
Directed by Anubhav Sinha 'Ra.one' is a sci-fi flick, starring Shahrukh, Arjun Rampal and Kareen Kapoor, who plays the love interest of Khan, and will be released on October 26. King Khan has two children, 14-year-old son Aryan and 11-year-old daughter Suhana.
"It is a kind of film, a genre that we haven't tried. You make a film with passion and love. You want to make it right and want the world to watch it," the actor said.
The 45-year-old actor also said he was inspired by Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman to make this superhero film.
"I watched all the 'X-Men' movies. The role of Wolverine was the biggest inspiration for me to make 'Ra.one'. I was completely inspired by Hugh's film," he said.

Dabei ist der bekannte Bollywood-Star Shahrukh Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) im Prinzip schuld daran, dass es neue Gerüchte über die Verbindung von Schauspielerin Priyanka Chopra zu ihrem Ex-Freund und Kollegen Shahid Kapoor gibt, denn Shahrukh Khan lud beide Kollegen zuletzt zu seinen Feierlichkeiten im Rahmen des Frühlingsfestes (Fest der Faben) Holi in Indien ein.
Dahingehend weiß man natürlich, dass die eigentliche Lovestory zwischen den beiden Bollywood-Stars Priyanka Chopra und Shahid Kapoor bereits einige Zeit her liegt, doch dank der Party ihres Kollegen Shahrukh Khan gibt es wohl neue Gerüchte um ein mögliches Comeback der Liebe dieser beiden Darsteller aus der indischen Filmindustrie Bollywood.
Angeblich soll man die schöne Priyanka Chopra, welche zurzeit unter der Regie vom Filmemacher Anurag Basu den Film „Barfee“ dreht, am vergangenen Dienstag bei einem kleinen Motorradtrip von Shahid Kapoor durch Mumbai erwischt haben, denn wie man aus der Klatschpresse Bollywoods vernehmen kann, brachte Shahid Kapoor wohl die Idee auf, dass Priyanka Chopra mit ihm und seinem Bike einmal durch die Straßen Mumbais fahren könnte.
Diese Motorradtour mit Priyanka Chopra und einem Shahid Kapoor am Steuer seines Bikes soll sich Dienstagnachts ereignet haben, wobei es sicherlich praktischer gewesen ist, nachts durch Mumbai zu fahren, denn der Verkehr ist dann einfach viel angenehmer als am Tage. Kein Wunder, dass man nun darüber spekuliert ob sich Priyanka Chopra und Shahid Kapoor wieder näherkommen, doch vorerst sollte man solchen Gerüchten gewiss keinen Glauben schenken.
Es wird gerne und viel über vermeintliche Liebespaare und Beziehungen in Bollywood spekuliert (siehe Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor..), doch meistens treffen diese Gerüchte eher selten zu. Sicherlich wäre es am Ende immerhin schon eine nette Sache, wenn sich Priyanka Chopra und ihr Bollywood-Kollege und Ex-Freund Shahid Kapoor wenigstens wieder etwas besser verstehen würden.
Indessen sprach Soha Ali Khan über ihre Hochzeitspläne mit dem Freund Kunal Khemu und äußerte dabei auch ihre Freude über die neue Lovestory „Chemistry“ mit Shreyas Talpade. Dahingehend konnte man von der nicht ganz so erfolgreichen indischen Darstellerin Soha Ali Khan erfahren, dass sie in manchen Szenen sogar mit pinken Haaren auftauchen wird und ihr Charakter eine Mischung zwischen Charlie Chaplin und Devanand Sagar wäre.
Neben der Liebesgeschichte „Chemistry“ mit Shreyas Talpade wird man die sympathische Soha Ali Khan noch in dem neuen Bollywood-Movie „Sound Track“ an der Seite von Rajiv Khandelwal erleben können, wobei es sich bei diesem Filmprojekt um ein Bollywood-Remake des Hollywood-Films „It`s All Gone Peter Tong“ handeln wird.
Zu ihrem Privatleben und dem Leben mit Kunal Khemu teilte Soha Ali Khan dabei noch mit, dass sie in ein paar Jahren für eine eigene Familie bereit wäre und die beiden, wenn die Zeit reif scheint, sicherlich den Termin ihrer Hochzeit bekanntgeben werden. Shahrukh Khan invites friends for India-Pakistan semi final
We hear that Shahrukh has plans to put up a big screen home theatre at his residence Mannat especially for the screening of the match. Moreover, he has invited all his close friends from the industry to join him on the big day to watch the super-match of the tournament.
It can be recalled how Shahrukh had cheered for team India in South Africa when India played Pakistan in the finals of the first T20 World Cup in 2007. This time, too, he and his friends will obviously root for India.

Story
The film targets kids and families. Set in modern day London, it is about a superhero who can freeze electricity.
Khan plays a Miami based software engineer named Shekhar, who as a video-game hero takes on his self-created techno-monster Ra One. When he falls in love with Kareena, Khan imagines her as one of the characters.
Khan's character in the film is called G.One for Good One (In Hindi, G.One means life!).
"G.One is made of solid electricity...he has come in the real world from a virtual one to fight against RA.one the evil force," SRK says.
The actor, who has had to loose a lot of weight for his super-hero roles, joked over Twitter on May 31, that he feels as if G.One stands for Gaunt One.

Arjun Rampal's character plays villain in the film.
"Ra.One is a very ambitious project. It's a film that kids will enjoy for sure. It's not only for kids but the idea is also to bring action to a different level. It's hugely experimental," says Arjun Rampal.

Shah Rukh and Arjun Rampal's Multi Crore Super Hero Costumes in RA.One
Its not only Shah Rukh Khan who gets to wear multiple superhero costumes in the film that cost crores of Rupees. Arjun Rampal gets to wear nine of the super expensive body suits in the film. Both Arjun and Khan had to loose lots of weight to fit into the body suits.
" “It was a challenge for both Shah Rukh and me. Thank God, we were shooting abroad, that made it easier,” he admits. “But now, when I see the results, they are a sweet memory. Release Date
In end August 2010, it was reported that the film will release on June 3, 2011. However, Shah Rukh Khan has since clarified that the release date has not yet been locked. (Sep 1, 2010)
London Filming Schedule Wrap Up
Shah Rukh Khan and the RA.One team wrapped up the film's London schedule August 12. Filming in London began in early July.
Shah Rukh Khan Keeps it Real in RA.One
Shah Rukh Khan is falling back on the basics - romance and melody - even in his sci-fi super hero film RA.One
After getting his lucky mascot Karan Johar to lens the romantic scenes in RA.One, Khan has now also brought his lucky singer on board.
Sukhwinder Singh - who gave Shah Rukh two of the biggest hit songs: Chal Chaiyya chaiyya (Dil Se..) and Haule haule (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi) - recently recorded a song for RA.One which Shah Rukh will lip synch to in the film.
The song was composed by South music stalwart Illyaraja; it took the ace singer nine hours to record it. (August 5, 2010)

Karan Johar Lenses Parts of the Film
Shah Rukh Khan's superhero sci-fi thriller RA.One now has two directors - Karan Johar and Anubhav Sinha.
SRK summoned old and trusted friend Karan Johar to London as an additional director to help lens the romantic scenes in the film.
SRK says he needed Johar to speed up the project which has fallen behind schedule, while Mumbai tabloids report that SRK and Sinha were having creative differences. (July 27)
T-Series Buys The Music Rights

Tom Wu Signed Up
Chines American actor Tom Wu has been signed up for the film.
"...a big welcome to Tom Wu in the film cast. He is so humble and such a sport... really nice to have him on board," Shah Rukh, 44, posted on his Twitter page. Tom Wu, a martial arts expert, was earlier seen in films like "Revolver", "Shanghai Knights", "Batman Begins" and "Tomb Raider II"
Eros buys film rights
It has been reported that Eros International hasagreed to pay a whopping Rs175 crore for the film. An official from Eros International confirmed to Mumbai Mirror the purchase of the film but not the amount. (July 7, 2010)
Resumes Production
Production for RA.One has resumed in London in the first week of July after Shah Rukh returned from a family vacation through Europe.
The name of the film RA.One is short for Random Access Version 1
RA.One is a fun filled Sci Fi meets Superhero film with Bollywood feel good over the top garnishing.
The film's unit recently acquired a Ducat Mobile for Khan to ride on wearing a Rs 1 crore latex body suite, custom made for him as his super-hero costume.
Filming started on March 24, 2010. Filming in India wrapped up on June 11,2010.
Kareena Kapoor in RA.One
Kareena Kapoor plays lead in the film, opposite Khan, as a young mother of an eight-year old.
She is being styled by Manish Malhotra, her favorite designer, as a modern glamorous mom.
Hollywood Talent in RA.One
Khan's Red Chillies SFX is being assisted by top notch Hollywood technicians for the special effects - Nicola Pecorini as Cinematographer and Jeffrey Kleiser for Visual Effects.
Nicola is best known for Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas / Cliffhanger / The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, while Jeffery's memorable films include X-Men / X2 / X-Men: The Last Stand
Other Hollywood talent that contributed to the film includes writer David Benullo (Around the World in 80 Days / Hallowed Ground)
While most of the filming crew will be from India, a few extras will be hired locally in Miami.
American singer Akon recorded a song for the film.

What motivated Shah Rukh to make this genre film are son Aryan and his friends' love for action superhero films.
Is SRK ghost directing Ra.One?
Shah Rukh Khan is seriously inspired by arch rival Aamir Khan. That's probably why he is interfering way too much in director Anubhav Sinha's work. Or is Anubhav not confident in SRK's presence? The director of Dus and Tum Bin fame is seeking SRK's approval after every shot,
A source from the unit says, "After every shot, Anubhav looks at Shah Rukh for approval. Shah Rukh tries to look away a bit, not wanting to interfere. But Anubhav is too awed by Shah Rukh's presence on the set. He doesn't okay any scene until Shah Rukh says so. He calls Shah Rukh and says, 'Sir, dekh lo, theek hai ya nahi'."
"The number of takes in almost every scene depend on what Shah Rukh feels after he sees, or rather is made to see, the scene on the monitor," adds the source.
